Quebec City Results
Last competition in the canada cup series was this past weekend in Quebec City. Here is a recap of my results
Friday
500m: 7th, 37.91 (personal best opener, 10.01 :) )
1000m: 2nd, 1:14.40
Saturday
1500m: 3rd, 1:56.85
Sunday:
1000m: 2nd, 1:15.10
Great last competition for the year. I'm pretty sure that I did what I needed to do to qualify a spot on the National Development Team for next year. I'll find out in the next few weeks about that.
This competition was really odd because of the weather. Even though the track is refridgerated, the ice was too soft mid day so we raced very early in the morning and late at night. Here was my race schedule... I've never done anything like this before.
Friday:
Warm up on ice: 8am
Race 500m: 9:30am
Warm up: 7pm
Race 1000m: 8pm
Saturday
Off ice Warm up: 4:50 am
On ice warm up: 5:10 am
Race 1500m: 6 am
Sunday:
Off ice warmup: 5:30 am
On ice warmup: 6 am
Race 1000m: 7 am
This was quite an experience...I can't say I've ever been on the bike at 4:50 am.... and I complained at times having to train at 7:30....

Hey everyone, click on the link to hear my interview with the current. Its really cool to hear the interview from an outside perspective. I could really see where I was at on a personal level at that time....and I sure wore my heart on my sleeve.
